AVCD Program - Root Crops (POTATO) Baseline

The overall goal of the AVCD Root Crops value chain component is to help create strong, sustainable value chains to increase productivity and incomes, and improve nutrition for 100,000 households (HH) over a three year period. CIP anticipates that by the end of the project, approximately $2M in profit will be generated annually through sales of planting material and increased yields of potato and sweetpotato, and the dietary quality of at least 54,000 children under five years and 65,000 women of reproductive age will be improved.
